One Dead, 10 Injured in Adukrom–Somanya Highway Crash

One person has died and 10 others have sustained injuries following a road crash involving two Hyundai H100 passenger vehicles on the Adukrom–Somanya Highway.
The accident occurred at Akode No. 2, near Aseseso, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said the Kpong Fire Station received a distress call and immediately dispatched a rescue crew to the scene.
The crew was dispatched at 6:03 a.m. and arrived at 6:34 a.m., where firefighters found the two Hyundai H100 vehicles involved in the collision.
The vehicles, with registration numbers ER 1564-21 and ER 1660-21, had crashed, leaving 10 people injured and one person dead.
Firefighters attended to the injured victims and removed the deceased from the scene.
The 10 injured victims were subsequently transported to the Yilo Krobo Hospital for medical attention and treatment.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash, including what caused the two vehicles to collide, have not yet been disclosed.
