Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua (JFK) has officially launched his campaign to retain his position as General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), centering his platform on a four-point agenda to ready the party for the 2028 general elections.

Speaking at his candidacy declaration, Kodua unveiled his campaign strategy—themed “Prepared, Well-Positioned, Focused, and Rebuild”—which prioritizes structural integrity and organizational reforms over conventional political promises.

While addressing the party’s performance in the 2024 elections, Kodua stated that managing an organization through difficult periods tests administrative resilience and provides the necessary context to execute genuine recovery.

“Every election defeat presents a defining choice: change course entirely or entrust recovery to leadership that understands both the causes of the setback and the work required to rebuild,” Kodua emphasized.

He outlined several administrative milestones achieved under his leadership, including implementing Oquaye Committee constitutional reforms, establishing new statutory committees, organizing major internal elections, and initiating a nationwide digital membership drive.

For his prospective next term, Kodua pledged to finalize the national digital database, enforce strict internal election neutrality, and direct party resources toward reinforcing local polling station operations.
