A group identifying itself as Concerned Members and Supporters of former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has announced plans to petition the Attorney General, calling for justice in connection with the recent shooting incident involving the former legislator.
According to the group, Adwoa Safo deserves the same level of compassion and justice afforded to every citizen, emphasizing that the matter should be treated with the seriousness it warrants.
Speaking at a press briefing, the group’s spokesperson, Emmanuel Boakye, called for a thorough investigation into the incident and urged law enforcement agencies to ensure that all individuals found culpable are prosecuted in accordance with the law.
He noted that while the courts had granted bail to Kwadwo Akofena, allegations relating to attempted murder should be treated as a serious criminal matter and pursued diligently.
Dr. Boakye also expressed appreciation to John Dramani Mahama for what he described as the President’s support since the incident occurred.
Meanwhile, Kwadwo Safo Junior, son of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo, called on members of the Kristo Asafo Mission to remain united during what he described as a difficult period.
He added that the incident had affected the image of the family and that it could take years to restore public confidence and protect the legacy of their late father.
Another member of the mission, Osebo Zaraman, also appealed for justice while urging supporters to preserve and uphold the legacy of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo.
