Bishop Kwabena Boakye Asiamah, popularly known as Ajagurajah and founder of the Ajagurajah Movement, has stirred fresh religious debate after declaring that “nobody is a Christian” and stating that he does not follow Jesus Christ but instead follows Moses.

He made the remarks during an interview on the Ghana Se Sen Show with Kwame Tanko on Lawson TV/Radio on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

According to him, many people who identify as Christians do not truly live according to the teachings of Christ, insisting that religious labels are often misunderstood or misapplied in modern society.

“Nobody is a Christian; I don’t follow Christ, but I follow Moses,” he said.

Ajagurajah explained that his spiritual beliefs are rooted in Old Testament teachings, adding that he considers Moses his spiritual guide rather than Jesus Christ.

He further claimed that many believers do not fully understand scripture and often quote religious texts without applying them correctly.

During the interview, he also questioned certain interpretations of the Bible, arguing that some teachings are taken out of context and misrepresented.

His comments sparked debate as he referenced biblical principles to support his views, suggesting that different eras of scripture should not be mixed without understanding their purpose.

Ajagurajah also linked his belief system to accountability and judgment, insisting that actions have consequences and that forgiveness is not absolute in the way many Christians interpret it.

He maintained that spiritual laws govern human life and that people must understand them properly to avoid negative consequences.
