Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has visited the Ghana Medical Trust Fund to review progress on the initiative aimed at improving healthcare delivery across the country.
During the working visit, officials of the Fund briefed her on key developments, including the establishment of operational systems, institutional frameworks, and ongoing implementation efforts. The discussions underscored the initiative’s role in expanding access to quality healthcare services nationwide.
The Vice President praised the leadership of Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku and her team for what she described as a strong vision and efficient execution of the Fund’s mandate. She emphasized that the initiative is vital to the future of healthcare in Ghana and called for sustained dedication to its goals.
Also present at the meeting was Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, whose support for the programme was acknowledged by officials.
Representatives of the Fund said the Vice President’s visit served as timely motivation, boosting their resolve to accelerate implementation and maintain momentum in the months ahead.
