The team managed by Pep Guardiola will play four matches in just 11 days. This includes a home clash against Crystal Palace on May 13, followed by the FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley on May 16, and an away fixture against AFC Bournemouth on May 19.
The Crystal Palace match had originally been scheduled for March but was postponed due to City’s involvement in the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal. Meanwhile, the Bournemouth game was delayed because it clashed with the FA Cup final.
Tight Schedule During Title Run-In
City’s packed calendar comes at a decisive moment in their campaign, as they continue to push for the league title and pursue multiple trophies. Their remaining fixtures include trips to Everton and Bournemouth, alongside home games against Brentford and Aston Villa.
Frustration Over Scheduling Delays
There has been frustration within the club over how long it took for the Crystal Palace fixture to be rearranged. Despite knowing since early February that a change would be required, a final decision was only reached months later.
Manchester City had proposed alternative dates in April and early May, but scheduling conflicts—including Crystal Palace’s involvement in European competition—limited the available options.

Scheduling was further complicated by UEFA guidelines, which aim to avoid clashes with major European finals. This influenced the timing of the Bournemouth match, now set for May 19.
City had explored other possibilities, including reversing fixture order to allow more recovery time before the FA Cup final. However, these options were not adopted due to broader scheduling constraints involving multiple teams.
