MTN Ghana has donated GH¢10,000, a ram, and assorted food items to the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam in Kumasi ahead of the 2026 Eid-ul-Fitr celebration.

The gesture forms part of the company’s annual Ramadan support initiative aimed at assisting the Muslim community, strengthening relationships, and appreciating customer loyalty.

Speaking to journalists after the presentation, Mr. Simon Amoh, Senior Manager for MTN Northern Sector, noted that the company remains committed to supporting religious communities across the country.

He explained that as an African company, MTN Ghana values religious diversity and consistently contributes to activities during the Ramadan period.

“Our customers are very important to us, and this gesture is not driven by any expectation of reward but to support them during this ramadan period,” he said.

He also urged Ghanaians to continue promoting peaceful coexistence, unity, and harmony across religious and cultural lines.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, Ustaz Ahmed Seidu, Executive Secretary at the Office of the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, expressed appreciation to MTN Ghana for its continued support.

He noted that the donation is not the first of its kind, describing MTN Ghana as a consistent partner that supports the Muslim community every year during Ramadan.

“We are very grateful to MTN Ghana for this kind gesture. They have been doing this over the years, and we are always assured of their support,” he said.

He added that the office would continue to acknowledge and promote the company’s generosity.
