At least 10 people have lost their lives and several others sustained critical injuries in a tragic road accident at Offinso Samproso in Ghana’s Ashanti Region.
The incident occurred when a bus traveling from Navrongo collided with a cement-laden truck, reportedly due to overspeeding. Eyewitnesses said the bus struck the middle of the truck as it crossed the road from a nearby cement factory.
The injured victims were immediately rushed to Offinso St. Patrick Hospital and other nearby health facilities for treatment, while the deceased have been moved to the mortuary at St. Patrick Hospital.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision as emergency services continue to respond to the scene.
