Dennis Amfo Sefa, the NPP’s 2024 parliamentary candidate for Tema West, has issued a fiery response to the violence witnessed during the Ablekuma North parliamentary rerun.

He accused the ruling NDC of setting a “dangerous precedent” by allegedly using macho men to disrupt voting and assault NPP figures, including Nana Akua Afriyie and Hawa Koomson.

In an interview, Amfo Sefa stated that if such acts continue, the NPP will retaliate with equal force. Referring to the upcoming election in Akwatia, he warned that party supporters would “arm and prepare” to respond in kind, vowing to mirror the tactics allegedly employed by the NDC.

He dismissed comparisons to the 2019 Ayawaso West Wuogon incident, insisting that this time the NPP would not stand down if provoked.
