On June 13, 2025, the Ghana Police Service arrested Enoch Asimiga, a suspect linked to a robbery at Wassa Nkran in the Western Region.
According to a police statement, initial investigations revealed that Enoch allegedly held a victim at gunpoint with a locally made pistol, stealing an undisclosed sum of money before fleeing into a nearby cocoa farm.

The victim’s cries for help sparked a rapid response from community members, which led to the suspect’s capture shortly after the incident.
A search of the suspect yielded a locally crafted pistol, one BB live cartridge, and a Samsung mobile phone. Enoch is currently in custody and assisting police with further investigations. He is expected to be arraigned in court soon.
