- Rev. John Ntim Fordjour urges refunds to unsuccessful applicants.
- GH₵113 million collected while only 5,000 were to be recruited.
- Minority calls for full investigation into the recruitment process.
The Minority in Parliament of Ghana has called on the government to refund all monies collected from applicants who were disqualified during the recent security services recruitment exercise.
The call was made by Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, Ranking Member of the Defence and Interior Committee and MP for Assin South.
He accused the government, led by Interior Minister Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak Muhammed, of collecting GH₵113 million from applicants while only 5,000 recruits were to be admitted.
Rev. Ntim Fordjour described the situation as “cruel and scandalous,” warning that it could undermine national security.
He has called for a thorough investigation into the recruitment process to address irregularities and ensure such anomalies do not recur.
