A heavy downpour has triggered flooding in several parts of Accra, with Kaneshie emerging as one of the hardest-hit areas as roads became submerged and movement was disrupted.
The prolonged rainfall left many streets waterlogged, with several vehicles stranded while pedestrians struggled to move through flooded roads.

Areas including the Kpone Barrier and Santa Maria also experienced significant flooding after drainage systems overflowed during the rains.
Some commuters and traders were forced to seek temporary shelter as the weather conditions worsened across sections of the capital.
Residents in various communities once again raised concerns about Accra’s persistent drainage challenges, especially during periods of heavy rainfall.
The floods also resulted in severe traffic congestion on major roads, as motorists battled poor visibility and inundated intersections.
As of the latest reports, no casualties had been recorded, although authorities are expected to assess the extent of damage caused by the flooding.
