The bursar of the Northern School of Business (NOBISCO), Fedelia Kudaariwo, has been arrested for allegedly diverting food supplies meant for students to her residence.

According to reports, nine bags of maize suspected to have been taken from the school’s store were discovered in a school minibus driven by two staff members, Alhassan Sulemana and Osman Asma, on Thursday, October 30.

Some community volunteers, acting on student tips that food was being moved secretly at night, intercepted the vehicle and questioned the drivers. The drivers allegedly confessed that the bursar had instructed them to transport the items to her house.

The volunteers later visited the bursar’s residence, where additional food items were reportedly found. Ms. Kudaariwo initially fled the scene but later turned herself in to the police to assist with investigations.

The police are currently probing the case, which has stirred outrage among parents and students.
