Gengimed Dental Clinic CEO Launches Premium Mineral Water in Ashanti Region
Dr. Eric Frimpong expands operations to Kumasi, pledges support for 24-hour economy and calls for crackdown on illegal producers.

The Chief Executive Officer of Gengimed Dental Clinic, Dr. Eric Frimpong, has officially launched Gengimed Mineral Water, inaugurating a new water production facility at Darko Akosombo in the Ashanti Region.
Before expanding to Ashanti, the company operated a production plant at Nsoatre, where it focused solely on sachet water production.
The new Ashanti Region-based facility significantly broadens its capacity, producing sachet water as well as bottled mineral water in large, medium and small sizes.
The colourful launch ceremony attracted traditional leaders, industry stakeholders, community members and invited guests. The event featured cultural dance performances, live band entertainment and the presence of the CEO’s mother, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
In an interview with Lawson News reporter Anthony Amissah, Dr. Frimpong expressed support for the government’s proposed 24-hour economy policy, describing it as a strategic initiative that could boost productivity and strengthen Ghana’s economy.
He noted that the policy would allow manufacturing companies, including water producers, to increase efficiency, expand production and create more employment opportunities.
Dr. Frimpong also urged regulators, particularly the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), to intensify efforts to clamp down on illegal water producers, warning that unregulated operators threaten public safety and undermine the credibility of licensed companies.
