Two employees of Asomdwie Rubber Company, a Chinese-owned plastic processing firm in Atonsu Agogo in the Ashanti Region, have been discovered dead under puzzling circumstances inside a parked car on the company’s premises.

The victims, identified as Baba and a female colleague whose name is yet to be confirmed, were both staff members — Baba being a senior worker and the woman having joined the company less than two months ago.

Their bodies were found on the back seat of the car, with the woman’s head resting on Baba.

Baba was reportedly dressed only in a singlet and shorts. The vehicle’s tinted windows were shut and its doors locked when the bodies were found.

According to sources, the two had earlier attended the wedding of one of the company’s managers on Saturday, November 22.

Later that evening, the female employee reported for her night shift but complained of feeling sick and was advised to return home. Around 8 p.m., residents saw Baba’s vehicle enter the area, park with the engine initially running, and later falling silent.

The car remained in the same spot throughout Sunday, November 23. It wasn’t until the following day, Monday, November 24, that workers and residents noticed a strong stench coming from the vehicle. Police were alerted and broke into the car, where they found the two deceased.

Additional information indicates that Baba had married only in August 2025 and his wife is currently pregnant. The female worker was also reportedly preparing for her wedding, set for December 2025.

The bodies have been taken to the morgue as police investigations into the mysterious deaths continue.
