German Bundesliga club Union Berlin has confirmed that left-back Derrick Kohn has received an international call-up to join the Ghana national team for their upcoming Asia Tour friendlies.

The Black Stars are scheduled to play Japan and South Korea later this month as part of their build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Kohn, who was previously invited by head coach Otto Addo, could not feature for Ghana in earlier matches due to delays in completing his nationality switch. However, with the process now finalized, the 25-year-old defender is expected to make his long-awaited debut in the upcoming fixtures.

While the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has yet to release the official squad list, several clubs, including Union Berlin, have announced that their players have been invited for the international friendlies.

Ghana will first face Japan on Friday, November 14, in the Kirin Challenge Cup, before taking on South Korea four days later.
