GFA Executive Council member Frederick Acheampong has extended the association’s solidarity to Aduana FC supporters who were involved in a fatal accident in the Ashanti Region.
Acheampong visited the injured fans at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), where he interacted with the victims and their families, offering reassurance and encouraging them as they undergo treatment.
The tragic incident occurred at Aboabo/Aboaso when a tricycle (Pragya) carrying some Aduana supporters veered off the road and crashed. The accident claimed the lives of two supporters and left several others injured, with three said to be in critical condition.
Aduana FC confirmed the casualties in a statement, adding that two of the injured remain on admission. The club noted that it is staying in close touch with the families affected and will communicate further developments when necessary.
Acheampong’s visit highlights the GFA’s continued commitment to standing by the victims and ensuring they receive adequate support throughout their recovery.
