NPA CEO Engages Former President Kufuor Ahead of 20th Anniversary Commemoration

The Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, has visited former President John Agyekum Kufuor at his Peduase residence as the Authority prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Mr. Tameklo’s visit was to officially brief the former President on the milestone celebration and to acknowledge the key role his administration played in creating the NPA. He commended Mr. Kufuor for laying the foundation that has guided the Authority’s work in promoting accountability, efficiency, and consumer protection in the petroleum downstream industry.

He also extended a formal invitation to Mr. Kufuor to join the NPA as it marks two decades of regulatory service.

In response, the former President expressed gratitude for the recognition and agreed to participate in the anniversary events. He urged the NPA leadership to remain committed to professionalism, integrity, and national service.

The NPA CEO was accompanied by senior officials, including Joseph Awan, Director of Risk and Chairman of the Planning Committee; Maria Oquaye, Director of Corporate Affairs; Racheal Naa Atswei Nee-Okpey, Head of Communications; Genevieve Bissue, Head of Protocol and Logistics; Emmanuel Mensah Hanson, Executive Assistant; and Maxwell Boakye, Special Aide to the CEO.
