Veteran boxer Manny Pacquiao will return to the ring for an exhibition match against former light-welterweight world champion Ruslan Provodnikov on 18 April.

Pacquiao, 47, ended a four-year retirement in July last year with a majority draw against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios. While he initially called for a rematch, the eight-division world champion has now opted to compete in a 10-round exhibition fight instead. The bout will take place at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.

“I carry the Philippines with me every time I fight,” Pacquiao said. “The support from my country and from fans around the world continues to inspire me. I’m coming back to give them a great fight – and I’m ready. Returning to Las Vegas means so much to me.”

Pacquiao boasts a professional record of 62 wins, eight losses, and three draws, and is unbeaten in three previous exhibition bouts, winning two and drawing one.

Provodnikov, 42, who retired in 2016, fought in the light-welterweight and welterweight divisions, ending his career with 25 wins and five losses. Pacquiao was inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame in 2025, cementing his status as one of the sport’s all-time greats.

This exhibition marks another chapter in Pacquiao’s post-retirement return to the ring, giving fans a chance to see the Filipino legend in action once more.
