A devastating accident occurred this morning in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District, Ashanti Region.
A family car, carrying five individuals, tragically plunged into the Owabi River between Akropong and Dabaa.
Sadly, all five occupants, including the driver, her spouse, two children, and two family friends, lost their lives.
Local authorities, including Hon. Bobie Ansah, the Presiding Member of Atwima Nwabiagya North, confirmed the heartbreaking news.
Rescue teams recovered the bodies of the victims and transported them to the Mt. Sinai Mortuary in Taabre.
The police are working closely with the affected families to provide support and investigate the circumstances of the accident.
