Prof. Opoku-Agyemang Urges NDC to Prioritise Policy Delivery
Vice President urges officials to ensure government programmes translate into tangible improvements in citizens’ daily lives.

Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has called on government officials and members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to remain focused on delivering government policies that directly improve the lives of citizens.
She made the appeal at the NDC’s June 4 Uprising Commemoration held at Banda on Thursday, June 4.
Addressing the gathering, the Vice President said the party’s foundation was built on the need to correct perceived governance challenges, adding that this responsibility must continue to guide their work in office.
“There is a reason why we became a party that should never escape our minds. We became a party because we thought there was something going wrong. If we are here, we must right that wrong and ensure that the rightness that we have established remains,” she said.
She stressed that government policies must translate into visible and practical improvements in the daily lives of citizens.
“Whatever policy we bring should translate into the physical and everyday life of people. Whatever we worked so hard to put in our manifesto must reflect in how we implement it to better the lives of people,” she stated.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang further noted that initiatives in sectors such as roads, healthcare, and education demonstrate government’s commitment to using national resources for the benefit of all citizens.
“This is how we are planning to spend national resources — in a way that benefits all of us,” she added.
She also commended Ministers of State as well as Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) for their efforts in implementing government programmes aimed at national development.
