The Friedkin Group has officially acquired a majority stake in Everton Football Club, marking the end of Farhad Moshiri’s era.
This deal, valued at over £400 million, positions Everton as the 10th Premier League club under majority American ownership.
The Texas-based group, led by billionaire Dan Friedkin, reached an agreement with Moshiri in September and has now secured the necessary regulatory approvals. Notably, the Friedkin Group also owns AS Roma in Italy’s Serie A.
Dan Friedkin is set to assume the role of Everton’s chairman, while Marc Watts, the group’s president, will oversee the club’s management.
