Former Education Minister and current Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has officially announced his intention to contest for the flagbearer position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), declaring himself fully prepared to lead Ghana into a new era of development.

In an interview, Dr. Adutwum expressed confidence in his leadership abilities and outlined a vision centered on poverty eradication, improved healthcare, and the construction of more hospitals across the country.

“I have what it takes to help this country develop,” he said. “My focus is to fight poverty, promote routine health checks, and expand access to quality healthcare.”

He emphasized that leadership aspirations are not limited to any one field and that just as others aim to rise in their professions, politicians entrusted by the people must also step up when the time is right.

“If the NPP is looking for someone to secure victory in the next election, I believe I am that person,” he stated. “I have served Ghana diligently and I’m ready to do even more.”

Dr. Adutwum, known for his transformative work in the education sector, brings with him a track record of reform, innovation, and national service.
