Sista Afia has denied personally inviting Tracy Shay onto the stage during her recent All White Party event in Koforidua, amid widespread social media speculation.
Videos circulated online showing Tracy Shay, a schoolgirl mentored by singer Wendy Shay, appearing alone on stage and urging the audience to cheer her on. Wendy Shay had earlier confirmed she was unaware of Tracy Shay’s appearance and performance at the event.
In a statement released on her social media platforms on January 8, 2026, Sista Afia distanced herself from the incident.
“My attention has been drawn to a number of social media stories, videos, and write-ups suggesting that I personally invited the young lady, Tracy Shay, onto the stage during my concert. I wish to clearly state that I have no knowledge of how or when she got onto the stage, and I did not personally invite her to do so,” she said.
Sista Afia added that her focus remains on the success of her 10th Anniversary Celebration in the music industry and that her team is reviewing all aspects of the event. She promised a detailed response at the appropriate time and expressed gratitude to her fans, colleagues, sponsors, and the public for their support.
