A group of Ghanaians is set to demonstrate on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, to demand the dismissal of Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng, whom they accuse of failing to deliver on his mandate.
Speaking on Monday, November 24, the Lead Convener, Apostle Abraham Larbi Lincoln, said the group believes President John Dramani Mahama must take steps to terminate Mr. Agyebeng’s appointment.
The demonstration, themed “Agro Ne Fom,” is intended to draw attention to what the organizers describe as inefficiency within the Office of the Special Prosecutor.
“We will be in red, and we will be there to make our case. If he refuses to act, then we understand the kind of leader he is. We are marching to the Jubilee House to petition the President,” Apostle Lincoln said.
He stressed that the group has no personal grievances against Mr. Agyebeng but insists that the office should either be overhauled or completely dissolved along with its staff.
Meanwhile, private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has revealed that 15 petitions have already been filed seeking the removal of the Special Prosecutor—an indication, he says, of growing public discontent.
“As of today, there are 15 petitions calling for Kissi Agyebeng’s removal. When was the last time someone facing Article 146 processes had this many petitions? It shows something is fundamentally wrong,” Mr. Kpebu said.
The protest is expected to end with the submission of a formal petition to President Mahama at the Jubilee House.
