The Accra Regional Police Command has launched an intensive manhunt for a third suspect linked to the alleged assault of a 12-year-old girl near La Roman Junior High School.

Police identified the suspect as Priscilla Novishie Wornyo, who is believed to have fled to the Volta Region shortly after the incident.

Meanwhile, two women have been arrested in connection with the case. The suspects—Precious Giftan Mesopeh (22) and Princess Giftan Mesopeh (25)—were apprehended on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, after the victim led police officers to their hideout.

According to police, the case was reported by the mother of the victim, who brought her daughter to the station with visible signs of physical assault on her body.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the girl was allegedly attacked without provocation by three women in the vicinity of the school.

Police say investigations are ongoing, while efforts are being intensified to trace and arrest the remaining suspect to assist with further inquiries.
