A tragic accident in the North East Region has left one person dead and several others injured after a cargo truck carrying passengers and goods from Gbandri Market plunged into a broken bridge between Jimbale and Wawa in the Yonyoo Nasuwani District.

The incident occurred around 9:00 p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025, when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to fall into the damaged bridge.
Eyewitness Nicholas described the bridge as a “death trap” that has remained unrepaired for nearly four years, blaming authorities for the ongoing hazard.

The deceased and injured victims have been taken to Bunkpurugu Hospital for medical attention. Residents are urging the government to urgently repair the bridge to prevent further tragedies.
