The Bono Regional Police Command has apprehended a suspect linked to the killing of two timber concession guards and the burning of a vehicle at Mpamso Forest near Nsuhia in Dormaa Central Municipality.
The incident occurred on October 26, 2025.
Intelligence-led operations led to the arrest of 45-year-old motor mechanic, Bashiru Kinda. During a search of his residence, officers recovered an Automatic Bruni Model 96 9mm K pistol loaded with three rounds of 7.65mm ammunition, four mobile phones, machetes, talismans, and other amulets, the Bono Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, confirmed.
Authorities have stated that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other individuals connected to the crime.
