The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Island City Chairman, Reuben Solomon Jabari, has downplayed claims that his busy schedule will negatively affect the party should he become the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency Chairman in the Ashanti Region.
According to him, the welfare of constituents remains his top priority, stressing that he will not trade their interest for anything else.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, Solomon Jabari reiterated that he has well-tailored measures aimed at easing the hardships faced by the people of Atwima Kwanwoma.
“Let me say that my busy schedule will not affect my commitment to my constituents. Leadership is about serving the people wholeheartedly, and that is what I stand for,” he stated.
The former military officer made these remarks after publicly declaring his intention to contest the Atwima Kwanwoma NDC Chairmanship position within the next six months.
When asked what new ideas he is bringing on board, Solomon Jabari revealed that disunity among executives affected the party during the 2024 general elections, and as a unifier, he is determined to bridge the gap to help the NDC win more votes in the constituency.
He added that he will create job opportunities for jobless youth in the constituency as part of his broader development agenda.
Solomon Jabari further disclosed that if given the mandate, he will use his connections to construct a befitting constituency office for Atwima Kwanwoma.
“As we speak, Atwima Kwanwoma operates from a dummy office. When I am given the mantle, I will use my connections to build a befitting office for the constituency,” he emphasized.
The Island City Branch Chairman also noted that women empowerment will be a key pillar of his leadership agenda, describing women as the backbone of the party.
