MTN Ghana Foundation has launched its 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign at New Asafo Basic and Junior High School in Kumasi.
The event aimed to sensitize students on the issue of gender-based violence, particularly against females.
George Kyei Frimpong, Education Portfolio Advisor for MTN Foundation, urged students to create a respectful environment and treat each other with dignity.
He also highlighted the growing challenge of cyberbullying and digital violence, especially against females.

The students participated in a debate competition, discussing whether teaching boys and girls the same content can prevent violence.
The girls’ team won the debate, arguing that educational equality fosters mutual respect and understanding.
The MTN Foundation donated ICT equipment, including tablets, to support the school’s computer lab and promote digital learning.
