President John Dramani Mahama on Thursday, January 8, paid a working visit to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) as part of a planned tour of major media houses in Accra.
The visit forms part of the President’s broader engagement with the media, aimed at assessing their operations, extending New Year goodwill, and sharing his vision for strengthening Ghana’s media landscape.
Addressing viewers on GTV during the visit, President Mahama also used the opportunity to update the public on the recent assault involving a journalist of Accra-based Class FM.
He disclosed that officers of the Ghana National Fire Service implicated in the incident have been identified and interdicted, while investigations remain ongoing.
