Renowned Highlife artiste KK Fosu has released a moving tribute song titled “Lumba” in honour of the late Ghanaian music legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, affectionately known as Daddy Lumba.
Following the singer’s recent passing, Ghanaians have been in mourning, with a National Candlelight Vigil held last Saturday to commemorate his legacy.
In the emotional track, KK Fosu extends heartfelt condolences to Daddy Lumba’s family, urging them to remain strong through the sorrow.
Speaking after the release, KK Fosu praised Lumba as a towering figure in Ghanaian music who not only inspired his own career but also paved the way for many emerging Highlife musicians.
“This song celebrates his incredible contributions over four decades. Daddy Lumba’s legacy is unmatched and deeply personal for me,” KK Fosu shared.
The tribute, now available on all major streaming platforms, is accompanied by a visualiser directed by Zizi.
