IGP Reshuffles Top Police Command, Appoints New Leadership Team
Major Leadership Overhaul Aims to Boost Operational Efficiency and Strategic Management
Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has announced a major shakeup in the leadership of the Ghana Police Service, reconstituting the Police Management Board with new appointments.
Notable among the appointees are COP/Mrs. Maame Yaa Tiwa Addo-Danquah, Director-General/R&P, and COP/Mr. Paul Manly Awini from the Service Workshop, Accra.
This move, aimed at enhancing effective management and operational control, was confirmed in a statement signed by Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Assistant Commissioner of Police and Director of Public Affairs, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
The restructured Police Management Board now comprises 31 seasoned officers, including experienced professionals across various departments such as Welfare, Administration, CID, and Finance.
This strategic leadership overhaul is expected to strengthen the operational efficiency of the Ghana Police Service.
