Controller introduces Ghana Card–based verification to improve payroll transparency and data security

- CAGD launches an upgraded payslip system for government workers.
- Employees must use their Ghana Card and employee number to log in.
- New system enhances security, accuracy, and access to payroll information.
The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has rolled out an upgraded payslip system for all government employees on the national payroll, aimed at improving transparency, security, and accessibility of payroll information.
In a statement dated February 9, 2026, and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Cephas N. Dosoo, the CAGD announced that employees are now required to use their National Identification Authority (NIA) numbers (Ghana Card) to access the Government of Ghana employee payslip platform.
According to the Controller, the use of Ghana Card details is intended to enhance the accuracy and protection of personal payroll data, while ensuring that only authorised users can access their information.
How to Access the Payslip System
Government employees are required to visit https://gogepayservices.com and select the “Forgot Password” option. Users must then enter their employee number and Ghana Card number for verification.
Employees will be prompted to provide a valid phone number, which is mandatory, while providing an email address remains optional. A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the phone number provided, which must be entered to complete the verification process and gain access to the payslip system.
The CAGD encouraged all employees on the national payroll to familiarise themselves with the new system to ensure uninterrupted access to their payslip information.
