Ghana Congress on Evangelism (GHACOE) Women’s Ministry, a non-denominational Christian NGO established in 1977, is calling on all women to join them in celebrating 2026 International Women’s Day.

This year’s celebration is held under the inspiring theme: “GIVE TO GAIN”

Over nearly five decades of existence, GHACOE has impacted countless lives across twelve regions of Ghana and beyond.

National Director Nana Adjoa Insaidoo, in a press release, has emphasized that God, in His wisdom, has endowed women with diverse qifts that should not be shelved, but rather shared with society. “The joy of giving is that when we contribute to our communities, God, through His grace, replenishes us with even more.” she stated.

The Ministry draws inspiration from several biblical figures who gave selflessly and were rewarded abundantly, including Abigail, the Shunammite woman, Mary Magdalene, Esther, and Dorcas.

In contemporary Ghana, the Ministry highlights the legacies of strong women as evidence of what “giving” to a nation can achieve: Nana Yaa Asantewaa, the legendary Queen Mother of Ejisu, Mrs. Ama Ata Aidoo: Renowned Ghanaian poet, playwright, and academic, Mrs. Theodosia Okoh: The visionary designer of the Ghana National Flag, Professor Florence Dolphyne: Ghana’s first female Professor and first female Pro-Vice Chancellor at the University of Ghana, and Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang: Former Vice-Chancellor of UCC, a distinguished stateswoman and the Vice President of our dear nation. Again, our own Mrs. Theodosia W. Jackson, Principal of Jackson University College and many more

GHACOE believes that a woman’s strength lies in her character.

Beyond its core mandate of spreading the Gospel, GHACOE Women’s Ministry actively equips women with employable skills, including: Batik, tie-dye, and bead making, production of liquid soaps and detergents.

The Ministry’s outreach also extends to prisons, psychiatric hospitals, and local markets, providing hope and tangible support to brothers and sisters in need.

As International Women’s Day 2026 approaches, the National Director, Mrs. Insaidoo encourages women, especially “the youth” to step forward for mentorship and be prepared to take up the mantle as future leaders.

“I encourage all women, to come on board. Do not hesitate to give what you have; nothing is too small, is it love, service, time, financial support, clothing, or simply a listening ear or a shoulder for one to lean on”.
