Authorities in Brazil are investigating a bizarre and tragic incident involving a 20-year-old woman who died on a bus with 26 iPhones strapped to her body.
The woman, who was traveling through Guarapuava in the central Paraná region, reportedly began experiencing severe health complications, including breathing difficulties and convulsions, before collapsing on the bus. Despite emergency responders’ efforts to revive her, she suffered cardiac arrest and passed away on board.
Upon inspection, police discovered the young woman had 26 iPhones taped to her body in an apparent attempt to smuggle the high-value devices. The military police have launched an inquiry into the suspected smuggling operation and the potential health risks associated with such methods.
Authorities have yet to release her identity, and investigations are ongoing to determine the origin and destination of the devices.
