Football fever swept through Côte d’Ivoire as Prime Minister Beugré Mambé officially welcomed the Original FIFA World Cup™ Trophy to the country during the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola, creating a memorable moment of national celebration.

The arrival of football’s most coveted prize drew thousands of fans, athletes, and community members together, offering a rare opportunity for Ivorians to experience the iconic trophy up close and share in the pride and passion that define the beautiful game.

“Hosting the Original FIFA World Cup™ Trophy is a proud moment for our nation,” Prime Minister Mambé said. “Football has the power to inspire hope, joy, and unity—values that resonate deeply with our people. We are grateful to Coca-Cola and FIFA for bringing this extraordinary experience to Côte d’Ivoire.”

The Abidjan stop of the tour featured a series of vibrant fan activations, including public viewing sessions that allowed fans to take photos with the trophy, a high-energy concert headlined by popular Ivorian artists, and interactive games designed to bring communities together in celebration of football.

Rodrigue Bila, Vice President for Franchise Operations, West, Islands and Mid-Africa at the Coca-Cola Africa Operating Unit, praised the enthusiasm of Ivorian fans, describing the atmosphere as inspiring.

“Through the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola, we are proud to bring people together to celebrate their love for football and experience the emotion that only this game can create,” he said, noting that the tour reflects Coca-Cola’s commitment to creating moments of happiness through shared experiences.

FIFA also commended the reception in Côte d’Ivoire. Romy Gai, FIFA’s Chief Business Officer, said the tour continues to unite people across cultures through the universal joy of football, while FIFA Legend Marcel Desailly highlighted the country’s deep passion for the sport.
