Asiedu Nketiah: NDC Laid Foundation for Ghana’s Digital Transformation

National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has asserted that Ghana’s current digital achievements are built on the foundation laid by previous NDC governments.
Speaking at the UENR Tech Fair in Sunyani, he pointed to the expansion of the national fibre-optic network under the NDC as a critical enabler for mobile money, e-learning, e-health, and other digital services.
He also highlighted the party’s One Million Coders initiative, which seeks to train young Ghanaians in software development, calling on stakeholders to support it with funding, internships, and partnerships.
Prof. Peter Appiahene of UENR echoed the call, urging government and telecom companies to strengthen digital infrastructure and support youth innovation to drive Ghana’s digital future.
