Popular Nigerian musician Davido has spoken out against the growing insecurity in the country, reacting to recent incidents including the kidnapping of schoolgirls in Kebbi State and a violent attack on a church in Kwara State.
In a heartfelt social media post, Davido extended sympathy to the victims and their families. “My heart goes out to the young girls kidnapped in Kebbi State and to their families. No family deserves this pain,” he wrote.
He also condemned the church attack in Kwara, calling it “tragic and unacceptable,” and prayed for comfort for the grieving families. “I pray for the families who lost loved ones and for everyone affected by this heartbreaking incident. These acts of violence must never become our norm,” he added.
Davido urged urgent action to rescue the abducted girls in Kebbi and called on the public to assist authorities responsibly. “Everything must be done to bring the Kebbi girls home safely,” he said.
Ending his message with prayers for peace in Nigeria, he stated: “May God watch over the girls until they return. May He comfort the grieving families in Kwara, bring peace to our nation, and put every sponsor of violence and disorder to shame.”
He stressed the need for national unity in the face of repeated attacks by armed groups involved in kidnappings and killings, highlighting the growing concern among Nigerians over such insecurity.
