New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has called on party delegates to place values and integrity above personal appeal as the party prepares to elect its presidential candidate.
Speaking on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, during the unveiling of his six-pillar policy vision, Ing. Agyepong appealed to delegates to make a principled choice in the upcoming presidential primaries, stressing that the future of both the party and the nation depends on leadership rooted in character.
Addressing delegates directly, he urged them to look beyond popularity and patronage, and instead focus on credibility, principles, and ethical leadership.
“To my fellow patriots, our delegates, entrusted to choose the next President of our beloved country on January 31, do not just choose a candidate—choose values over vanity. Choose principles over patronage, choose character over chicanery, choose to believe again,” he said.
He further called for unity within the party, encouraging members to rally behind a shared vision for national renewal.
“Let’s come together, party and people, and build this new Ghana. Let us embrace this covenant and march forward to victory,” he added.
The New Patriotic Party is scheduled to elect its presidential candidate for the 2028 general elections on January 31, 2026, with Ing. Agyepong positioning himself as a values-driven alternative focused on integrity and national purpose.
