The Eastern South Regional Police Command has arrested 37-year-old carpenter Kwame Arhin, also known as Abompe, in connection with the murder of a security guard in Kibi.
Arhin was apprehended on Sunday, November 16, 2025, after being found hiding in a bush near the Kibi Presbyterian College of Education.
According to a statement from the Regional Police Command, police received a distress call on Saturday, November 15, reporting the alleged murder at Kibi Newtown. A team of detectives, including the Crime Scene Management Unit, was promptly dispatched to the scene near the Kibi Court Complex to launch investigations.
Officers discovered the body of a male adult, later identified as Jonas Baah Sarpong, a security guard at Kibi Presbyterian College of Education.
