Mohammed Baba Jamal Ahmed has officially been sworn in as the Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso East Constituency following a ceremony in Parliament on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
The oath of office and oath of allegiance were administered by the Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana, Alban Bagbin, formally inducting Baba Jamal into the legislature.
In brief remarks after the swearing-in, the Speaker advised the new lawmaker to remain dedicated to the responsibilities of his office and to prioritise the interests of the people who elected him.
Mr. Bagbin reminded him of his campaign pledge to serve the constituents of Ayawaso East and contribute to national development through his role in Parliament.
He also indicated that he would closely observe the new MP’s work in the House to ensure that he lives up to the expectations of the people he represents.
