The General Overseer of Leaders Light International Church, Apostle Dr. Samuel Kofi Dadzie, has cut the sod for the construction of five major projects in Suhyen, located in the New Juaben North Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The projects include: Ankomah Basapong Teaching Hospital, Hotel De Leaders, Leaders Professional University, Leaders International School, and Leaders Nursing and Midwifery Training College.
Speaking to Kontihen Kofi Oboh, Apostle Dadzie said it had long been his dream to undertake projects that would uplift the image of Suhyen, thanking God for making this vision a reality.
“Individuals have a role to play in helping the government develop the country because building a nation is a shared responsibility,” he noted.
Dr. Dadzie emphasized that the government alone cannot employ every Ghanaian. He believes that these projects, when completed, will create numerous job opportunities, particularly for residents of New Juaben, and help reduce unemployment across the country.
The Municipal Chief Executive for New Juaben North Municipal Assembly, Samuel Adongo, who attended the sod-cutting ceremony, praised the church for bringing development to the doorstep of the community.
He assured church leaders that the Assembly would support them to ensure they can focus on their work, noting that individuals are expected to contribute to national development.
For her part, the Queen Mother of Suhyen, Nana Amoanimaa Okokodrufuo, expressed excitement over the projects, saying that such development had been long overdue in the area. She expressed gratitude that a grandson of the land, Apostle Samuel Dadzie, is spearheading progress in the community.
“Suhyen is a gateway to Koforidua, and when these projects are completed, the community will look beautiful,” she remarked.
