Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has revealed that fragments of bullets from a 2019 assassination attempt remain lodged in her head, causing ongoing health challenges.
In a video shared on her Instagram page on July 14, Okorie opened up about recent hospital visits, where she underwent a series of tests and scans due to persistent symptoms stemming from the near-fatal attack six years ago.
“The last two weeks have been so hectic, lovers,” she shared in the post. “It’s been one hospital after another, running all sorts of tests on my head and body. I haven’t been feeling too well, so my doctor advised I should be placed on bed rest.”
She disclosed that new scans revealed bullet fragments are still embedded in her head, a discovery that has added to her physical and emotional burden.
“Good health is really underestimated,” she said. “I went for my check-ups and it was found that there are still fragments of bullet pellets in my head. As the years go by, more still come out.”
Okorie has previously spoken about the traumatic events of December 2019, when she was reportedly ambushed and shot multiple times by suspected gunmen while returning from a performance. Initial X-rays at the time showed bullet fragments scattered across her skull.

Her latest revelation has triggered a wave of concern from fans and fellow celebrities, many of whom have taken to the comment section of her post to send well wishes and prayers for her recovery.
Okorie remains under medical supervision and has been advised to take time off for rest and treatment.
