LPG’s Kofi Akpaloo Storms NPP Conference, Predicts Winners in Various Executive Races

- Kofi Akpaloo backs John Boadu for Chairman
- Predicts winners in key NPP executive races
- Calls Youth Organiser race too close to call
Liberal People’s Party (LPG) leader Kofi Akpaloo has joined political stakeholders at the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Delegates Conference in Kumasi, where he shared his expectations for the various national executive races.
Mr Akpaloo explained that leaders and representatives of different political parties had gathered at the conference to show solidarity with the NPP, adding that his presence was to support and encourage the party as it holds its elections.
He expressed the hope that the conference would proceed smoothly and peacefully, without violence, just as the event had started.
According to Kofi Akpaloo, his assessment of sentiments on the ground suggests that John Boadu could emerge as the next NPP National Chairman.
He further predicted that Justin Kodua would retain the position of General Secretary, while Titus Glover could win the National Organiser race.
His other predictions were:
- Alfred Thompson – Treasurer
- Hawa Koomson – Women’s Organiser
- Nana B – First Vice Chairman
- Nana Akomeah – Second Vice Chairman
- Richard Ahiagbah – Third Vice Chairman
Mr Akpaloo said the Youth Organiser race is the one contest in which he is unable to make a firm prediction, describing it as a close two-horse race between Kwame Poku (CID) and Abanga.
He, however, observed that Abanga appeared to be gaining momentum on the ground.
The NPP National Delegates Conference is being held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, with delegates voting to elect new national executives and consider proposed amendments to portions of the party’s constitution
