Mahama Presents Relief Items to Hohoe Flood Victims
President John Dramani Mahama has presented relief items to residents affected by the recent floods in Hohoe, with 5,000 bags of Dzata Cement also pledged to support reconstruction efforts.

President John Dramani Mahama has presented relief items to residents affected by recent flooding in Hohoe in the Volta Region.
The President made the presentation during a visit to Hohoe on Friday, October 2, to assess the extent of the damage, sympathise with affected residents and support households impacted by the floods.
The floods displaced several residents and damaged more than 400 homes and properties across parts of the municipality, leaving affected communities in need of assistance.
The relief package includes rice, gari, mattresses, detergent and other essential items to help ease the immediate difficulties faced by affected households.
President Mahama assured residents that the government would continue assessing their needs and provide support as they work to rebuild their homes and livelihoods.
He also directed local authorities to ensure the relief items are fairly distributed among residents affected by the disaster.
In addition, businessman Ibrahim Mahama has pledged 5,000 bags of Dzata Cement to support the reconstruction of homes destroyed or collapsed during the floods.
The intervention is expected to complement the government’s immediate relief efforts as authorities continue assessing the damage and determining further support needed for affected communities.
