Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Porto right-back Alberto Costa as they assess potential defensive options.
The 22-year-old Portuguese defender has attracted interest from both Premier League clubs, although reports indicate that Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping tabs on him.
Elsewhere, Manchester City could demand a substantial transfer fee for Erling Haaland if the club were to be relegated from the Premier League over alleged financial-rule breaches, according to reports.
Haaland, 26, is also reportedly being monitored by several major European clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona, amid uncertainty surrounding Manchester City’s situation.
Former Chelsea and Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has reportedly been offered to two Ligue 1 clubs, although neither is said to have expressed interest in the 31-year-old free agent.
In Turkey, Besiktas president Serdal Adali has reportedly expressed his intention to sign Newcastle midfielder Joe Willock in January. Adali claims the 27-year-old Englishman has already chosen his next destination.
Meanwhile, former Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is reportedly not considering a return to Premier League management with a lower- or mid-table club. Reports suggest he would prefer an opportunity at a major club that is currently underperforming.
Liverpool also remain interested in Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, despite the France international signing a new long-term contract with the Spanish club during the summer.
