MTN Ghana Foundation Opens Nominations for Heroes of Change Season 8
Ghanaians invited to nominate individuals driving sustainable change in Education, Health and Economic Empowerment
- Nominations are open until 19 October 2026.
- The overall winner will receive GHS400,000, while each category winner will receive GHS200,000.
- The initiative marks MTN Ghana’s 30th anniversary and advances its “Force for Good” philosophy.
Accra, September 28, 2026 – The MTN Ghana Foundation has opened nominations for Heroes of Change Season 8, inviting Ghanaians to nominate individuals whose selfless service is creating meaningful and lasting change in their communities.
Nominations are open until 19 October 2026, and the public is encouraged to nominate individuals whose work demonstrates clear and sustainable impact in Education, Health, and Economic Empowerment.
Nominations can be submitted through the MTN Ghana website at www.mtn.com.gh or at any MTN Service Centre.
Built on the belief that ordinary people can drive extraordinary change, Heroes of Change celebrates individuals who are transforming lives through commitment, compassion and dedicated service.
The overall winner will receive GHS400,000, while each of the three category winners will receive GHS200,000 to support and scale their initiatives. Nominators of the 10 finalists will also receive prizes, with special recognition for outstanding contributions in Sustainability and Digital Innovation.
Commenting on the initiative, Adwoa Wiafe, Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer of MTN Ghana, said Heroes of Change was established to shine a light on individuals whose quiet acts of service are making a significant difference in the lives of others.
“Heroes of Change celebrates people who serve their communities without seeking recognition or reward. Through Season 8, we want to identify and support more of these remarkable individuals whose work is creating sustainable impact and inspiring others,” she said.
She added that this year’s edition forms part of MTN Ghana’s 30th anniversary celebrations and reflects the company’s “Force for Good” philosophy, which brings together its resources, partnerships and platforms to create meaningful impact and contribute to national development.
Over the years, Heroes of Change has provided recognition, visibility and financial support to Ghanaians tackling pressing social challenges. Through the initiative, beneficiaries have been empowered to deepen, sustain and expand the impact of their work in communities across the country.
Ghanaians are encouraged to nominate deserving individuals and help give visibility to the everyday heroes whose service is making a difference.
