‘Powder Man’ Granted GH¢400,000 Bail in Alleged Visa Fraud Case

The viral Black Stars supporter, Kailani Ibrahim Kpa, popularly known as “Powder Man,” has been granted GH¢400,000 bail by the Accra Circuit Court over an alleged visa fraud case.
Ibrahim is accused of collecting more than US$30,000 from over 13 people after allegedly promising to facilitate their travel to Canada, the United States and Nicaragua.
The court granted him bail with three sureties, including one guarantor and two close family members. The case has been adjourned to September 28, 2026.
The allegations have not been proven in court, and Ibrahim maintains that he did not steal from anyone, saying he transferred the money to travel agents.
Ibrahim gained widespread attention during the 2026 FIFA World Cup after videos of him celebrating Ghana’s Black Stars while spraying white powder went viral, earning him the nickname “Powder Man.”
