- Cocaine seized: Suspected cocaine intercepted at the airport.
- Investigation: Authorities probing possible syndicate links.
The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has intercepted a significant quantity of suspected cocaine at the Accra International Airport, leading to the arrest of a delivery driver.
The consignment was intercepted during an operation at the airport, with initial information indicating that the arrested driver is at the centre of the investigation.

Investigative journalist Manasseh Awuni Azure reported on Joy News that the suspect is currently in custody and is believed to have links to other individuals higher up in a suspected drug syndicate.
Investigators are expected to question the suspect as NACOC works to establish how the consignment arrived at the airport and identify other persons who may be connected to the package.
The development comes as NACOC and other security agencies intensify efforts to prevent Ghana from being used as a transit point for illicit drugs.
Although the substance is suspected to be cocaine, it will undergo the necessary testing and investigative procedures to confirm its exact composition.
NACOC is expected to release further details as investigations continue.
